Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read. The point is to follow as many book blog as you can and make new friends! As part of the adventure, she gives a weekly question.  And, this week, Sinnful Books is one of the featured blogs!!

Q: You are a matchmaker -- your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?

A:

Wow, what a question this week!  If I were to be completely honest, this matchmaker will have to abdicate.  The main characters in my favorite books are either already in perfectly matched relationships, or do not wish to enter into one.  It would be wrong of me to mess with that.  Man, rereading that answer, I am such a killjoy!

What would you guys do?

Much love, Sinn

  1. Congrats on being the feature! This was a difficult question, for sure. I picked side characters so I didn't have to break up big relationships, lol!

  2. I totally agree! It's so wrong to mess with the perfect relationships they've already established in books! If they were single, though, that'd be another story! :)

  35. It was tough, wasn't it? Especially since the vast majority of what I read has romance in it, so the characters are already well settled. I ended up getting a bit evil, I'm afraid. After trying (in vain) to hook up my one bachelor hero (Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files) with a super-cool and tough chick, I ended up throwing my hands in the air and putting Thomas Raith, and incubus from the same series, together with Belle from Twilight...because I didn't like her. Sigh...when did I get this evil streak?

  43. Congrats on the feature!

This was a tough question because I completely agree with you--the main characters usually either end up with the person they should be with or end up deciding to stay single for at least the moment. Who am I to mess with that? I think that is why my answer focused more on secondary characters because I do not always think they get what would make them happy.

  44. I kind of agree with what you're saying. When people complain about who characters end up with in books, I always think it was the author's story, they wrote it how they wanted it or saw it happen. So for my answer, I just picked people with similar stories. New follower, here is mine:

  52. This was my first FF and found the question to be very difficult as well. I literally sat in front of my laptop for half an hour trying to come up with an answer. I finally had to sit in front of my bookshelves to get some inspiration. I came up with Butch from JR Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood series and Betsy Taylor from Mary Janice Davidson's Undead series. No real big reason except for she has an affinity for designer shoes and he for fine suits. Also, he's a Bostonian and she a Minnesotan, I thought listening to them talking would be funny.

Congrats on being featured this week. I'm also a new follower.
