Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read. The point is to follow as many book blog as you can and make new friends! As part of the adventure, she gives a weekly question.

Here's this week's question:

Q: The #FF is 150 weeks old! And we want to hear from you! What would you change about the hop? What do you like about it? Or just suggest a question to be used for next week!

That's awesome!  I cannot believe you ladies have been kicking butt for 150 weeks!  Thanks for keeping this hop going, and I hope to see people continue to participate in the future :)  As far as changing, you ladies do a wonderful job!  And I love that Alison manages to make it by every blog and comment.  It's really sweet, especially with how many people take part every week.

Question idea:  When you're not reading, what is your most geeky hobby?

Much love, Sinn

  4. It's crazy to think it's been 150 weeks and I've only just discovered this today!!! I think the ladies have done an amazing job of organizing this :)

I think my most geeky hobby after reading would have to be re-watching old episodes of Buffy or Dawson's Creek (depending on my mood). I'm a bit of a boxset collector, so I'm always vegging out and re-watching old shows!

  6. I can't believe it's been going on for so long already. Rachel and Alison are awesome for making it this far! For my most geeky hobby, hat obsession? Video-gaming? Web design? Hmm. New Follower via GFC and Linky!

  7. Hmmm, I play Starcraft 2, I imagine that's pretty geeky.

BTW, love your header and design! I really want your scrolling "Blogs I love" feature. I'm gonna have to figure that out!

    1. HeeHee, I just finished Resident Evil 6 and the reboot of Devil May Cry, so I say Starcraft 2 is geeky ;)

The scrolling is a marquee, dear :) Here is the code: <*marquee direction="up"> just take out the *. Also, on different lines, treat it like a list (<*li><*a href="link"><*/a>) and, at the end of the marquee, close it (<*/marquee>). Does that make sense?

  8. Awesome question! And I received a comment from Alison on my FF last week and went all fangirly, lol! And 150 weeks is like forever - it's really cool it's been going on for so long. :)

Are you still reading Black House? Love that book! I need a new copy of The Talisman, though, it was falling apart so bad I had to throw it away. I tried taping it back together, but no...just didn't work. >.<

I read your post the other day about Resident Evil 6. My husband played one of the Resident Evil games, but he didn't like it. I totally suck at first person shooter games, so I never tried it. I really love RPGs like Final Fantasy. I just punch in some commands, and they do all the ass kicking, lol!

    1. HeeHee, that's awesome ;)

I'm still--slowly--listening to the Black House on audio book. It really is not catching my attention as much as The Talisman did. My bro said it's his favorite in the series, but I enjoyed the other better. Well, I guess that gives you an excuse to buy a new copy ;)

I've loved the franchise for awhile, so I had to play this one when Leon returned. Yes, yes, total fangirl crush ;) I HATE first person games of any kind, so I feel your pain. Honestly, for a third person shooter, it wasn't too bad. If you have an Xbox 360 with Live, download the demo and try it. RPGs? Me too! I played Dragon Age: Origins and #2 TWICE!

    2. I love all the Resident Evil movies. How about you? Milla Jovovich is perfect as Alice! :D

    3. I LOVE the Resident Evil movies! Milla rocks! I also love Michelle Rodriguez as Rain :) When I found out the new movie was going to have Leon, I squeed! Yes, yes, fangirl crush and all *^_^*

  9. I definitely have a few geeky hobbies! I just think they're awesome.
I cross stitch and knit, I'm always making something with my sewing machine as well. I just started a gorgeous 50s style dress :)
I'm also a big movie fan, give me a horror movie- particularly zombies and I'm happy!
Great question! I'm a new GFC and Bloglovin' follower. Here's My FF

    1. Really?! I have some awesome fabric for a 50s style dress, but I still need to make it. Knitting? After crocheting for over a decade, I decided to teach myself how to knit.

Dear, you're a girl after my own heart! I LOVE horror movies, especially slashers--the bastard child of the horror genre!

      Delete
    2. I'm making a contrast dress with red, and cherry print fabric, fingers crossed! I'm not very good at knitting though, I've only managed to make a blanket so far haha
Slashers are totally awesome as well, I blame my sister for my addiction! We're always having horror marathons lol

      Delete
    3. Ooooo, that sounds so pretty! What pattern are you using? Is it a vintage one or just a modern take? A blanket? Wow! I started one FIVE different times and kept losing stitches. Plus, it was a LOT slower than crocheting a blanket. I admire the fortitude to finish a blanket :)

When I go to see slashers in the theatre, I get weird looks because I laugh *^_^* Favorite horror movies to have a marathon with? I need a good horror marathon!

      Delete
    4. I'm using a repro vintage pattern, I've yet to start actually piecing it together though lol. Yeah...it's not a very good looking blanket- and it's only a baby blanket! I'm not sure I could ever do a full size one haha
Some slashers are definitely laughable lol. I love having a Scream marathon! They're my favourites, and total classics :D It's either that, Final Destination or Resident Evil!

      Delete
    5. I need to find a cool vintage pattern and start using my awesome fabric. Maybe one day . . .

Mine was going to be a baby blanket, too. Frogging a project never feels good, so that was a waste for me. It's awesome that you made it through a complete blanket, whether baby or otherwise! I'm thinking about making an original Dr. Who scarf for my older brother, but that's a damn labor of love!

Ah, the Scream movies. Considering that I grew up with the Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, etc. movies, I don't think I would call them classics ;) However, they kind of revitalized slashers. Did you see the sequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre? It was better than I anticipated. Hmm, a marathon of the Final Destination movies might be interesting, especially after the latest one. Have you seen the animated Resident Evil movies? Resident Evil: Damnation is worth watching because of the hotness of Leon ;) HeeHee

      Delete
    6. Haha fair enough! They're definitely more of the classic variety. I haven't actually seen the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, although I've seen the remakes which were pretty good. I've not seen the animated Resident Evil movies either! I'll have to check them out haha

      Delete
    7. When you watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, remember that the dude in wheelchair dies. With that in mind, he is a *little* more tolerable.

Resident Evil: Damnation is totally worth it to behold Leon in his snarky hotness ;) Yes, yes, he was my first video game crush back in '98 *sheepish grin*

Btw, what did you think of Scream 4?
