Here's the questions for this week:
Q: What is the longest book you’ve read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?
A:
The Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey averages over 600 pages per book. While I have not read it in awhile, those used to be one of my favorite series. I think Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard is the longest book I read. It topped out at well over 1,000 pages. Out of all the 600+ page books I have read, my two favorite are Battlefield Earth and It by Stephen King. It is also over 1,000 pages. However, unless the book is really, really dragging, I do not notice the page limit. When I finish a book, I'll look to keep track of the number of pages I have read during a year. What are you're answers this week?
I've never kept track of the number of pages I've read in a year before, but that sounds like a great way to be able to compare reading years. Stephen King does have a lot of chunky books!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I haven't heard of the Kushiel series. What are they about?

I've never realized how long Stephen King's books are. Of course I've only read 1 so far and it was only 450 pages, but I really want to pick up some more. Maybe I'll go big and go with It.

Hmm great answer. I haven't read Battlefield Earth (sounds like an awesome name for a movie) or any Stephan King, but I know what you mean that you don't notice the pages. Sometimes if a book is truly aawesome I'll be sad when it's over be it 400 or 1,000 pages.
