There has been a couple in the past though. I wish I didn't read them and picked other books instead, but I always try to think that no book is a waste.

Even though they sucked.Jillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07629286727932554109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528973813853190533.post-24535971690867636892011-05-29T15:10:17.942-06:002011-05-29T15:10:17.942-06:00Hey Sinn!

Sometimes like you said you just can't get into a book, and sometimes it's just so awful that...well, if you do choose to review, there's no way you can tell the truth w/out coming off as mean :(
Recently I came up w/an idea for a meme dealing specifically w/the books I just wasn't impressed by and why (still don't know if I'll do it though...) If I did, I think I'd try to keep my comments critical yet constructive and definitely NO flames--even if I absolutely hated it. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and yours looks terrific!!
Am now following you,
Ninja GirlNinja Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00901215698632029838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528973813853190533.post-27292339779769435102011-05-29T04:47:14.190-06:002011-05-29T04:47:14.190-06:00You know, I can't say that I see myself as a p...You know, I can't say that I see myself as a professional reviewer, but a book blogger, and I review for pleasure, not because I have to. Therefore, I don't force myself to read a book I can't get through. I make a small update about it stating perhaps why I couldn't finish it and why, but more than that I can't give the readers.

I am a mood reader and therefore if I try to force myself to read, it becomes a chore. What I do with chores it try my hardest not to do them and this is the last thing I want. If this would happen regularly, I don't think I'd be the reader or book blogger I am today. I want to do this because I love it!Bexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01456550817122908083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528973813853190533.post-74593282992219999982011-05-27T15:40:02.231-06:002011-05-27T15:40:02.231-06:00Usually I just put a book down if I don't like...Usually I just put a book down if I don't like it. I figure I may not get to all the books I want to read in this lifetime-with the giant TBR pile, and all the books that come out every month, there's just so many! Why waste precious time when you could be reading something amazing?

On the other hand, I also try to stick around for books that I've been dieing for, or books that I've paid for. If I've been looking forward to reading something for a long time, that means there's something that's grabbed my attention. I keep reading to see if the book gets better and turns out to be everything I expected.

I was thinking about all the books I haven't finished recently and I thought about maybe mentioning them all together, a sort of combination mini-review, just to let my readers know that I started them, but just couldn't get into them.Bekkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17940606116740260845noreply@blogger.com
